Jeremiah 49:4-6

⁴ “How ^(A)boastful you are about the valleys!
Your valley is flowing away,
O ^(B)backsliding daughter
Who trusts in her ^(C)treasures, saying,
‘^(D)Who will come against me?’
⁵ “Behold, I am going to bring ^(E)terror upon you,”
Declares the Lord ^[a]God of hosts,
“From all directions around you;
And each of you will be ^(F)driven out ^[b]headlong,
With no one to gather the ^(G)fugitives together.
⁶ “But afterward I will ^(H)restore
The ^[c]fortunes of the sons of Ammon,”
Declares the Lord.
